DAI is recruiting experts for the mission "Support the EUD intervention in the electricity sector in Iraq"
This mission is part of the “Iraq Policy Dialogue Facility”, an EU funded project implemented by DAI in Iraq.
The general objective of the assignment is to strengthen the knowledge of the Delegation of the European Union to Iraq of Iraq’s power sector and to define an intervention strategy to support the Government in its effort to put the Electricity Supply Industry on a different path. The Specific objectives of the assignments are to:
The main objective of the Stretegic Approach Report, the main final deliverable, is to develop an EU intervention strategy that is comprehensive, feasible and appropriate.
At the end of the Strategic Approach phase, the EU TAF team of experts – as mandated by the EUD- proposed to follow-up the work undertaken in the framework of the WB’s advisory service “Electricity Investment Plan and Financing Strategy” and to focus on the following three areas:
Expert profile: Expert No.1: Renewable (wind and solar) energy technical expert – Grid integration- Power system engineer.
The main place of work will be Baghdad, Iraq. The expected starting date will be September 2024, and the assignments will run for a period of 15 months.
