Since 1995 we have been working for governments, development agencies, public institutions as well as for enterprises and organisations in the agriculture and food industry in more than 60 countries (see www.adtproject.de). Main clients are the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), EU EuropeAid and other EU programmes, GIZ, FAO, USAID, WB and other public donors as well as private organisations/companies.

We are currently looking for three local Team-Leaders for Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTNs) Project in Romania

Project objectives

Facilitate knowledge exchange, awareness, and information/innovation transfer to participating farmers. This includes establishing model farms to promote best agricultural practices for pollution prevention and reduction. The project also involves creating national knowledge transfer networks and conducting information and awareness campaigns for the public regarding project activities, including other environmentally - focused interventions funded under the NRRP.

 

The project is envisaged to start in September with expected duration ca. 3,5 years. The project is funded through the loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). The project is currently in pre-qualification phase; the experts are expected to reside in Romania during the project period.

Qualifications:
Min. Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences, Agronomy, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

·         Min. 7 years of experience in managing agricultural organizations and advisory systems.

·         8 years of professional experience in training and further education

·         Strong knowledge in conducting training projects in the field of sustainable agriculture.

·         Expertise in environmental protection and implementing sustainable practices

·         Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

·         Very good network with local farmers, agricultural associations, agricultural universities, farmers' organisations, cooperatives and so on

·         Excellent verbal, written communication skills in English and Romanian  

Tasks:

·         Establish clear goals and timelines for knowledge transfer initiatives.

·         Identify and resolve issues that hinder effective knowledge sharing.

·         Hold team members accountable for their roles in the knowledge transfer process.

·         Ensure the team has the necessary tools, resources, and information to perform effectively.

·         Organize regular meetings and updates to monitor progress and ensure alignment.

·         Oversee the effectiveness of Farmer Discussion Groups (FDGs) and actively participate in around 50% of the organized FDGs.

·         In addition to leadership duties, perform tasks typically handled by the second expert within FDGs.

·         Highly developed conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving ability.
