Expert 1 - CAT 1: at least 12 Years General professional experience in sectors related to Lot 12 (Education, culture and youth).
The candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Completed university studies of at least three (3) years, attested by a diploma. In its absence 5 years of equivalent professional experience. The qualification should be in the field of education or related field. A relevant postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of the South African higher education sector, including universities, TVET colleges and institutions and networks in this sector.
- Knowledge and experience in South Africa’s Post school education and training sector (PSET)
- Knowledge of national policy and internationalisation policy and practice.
- Erasmus+ knowledge and experience: including the Call for Proposals cycle, the application process, the format and preparation of proposals and the technical aspects of the application process and proposal requirements.
- Experience of working in the European PSET sector: extensive knowledge of the European PSET sector, and specifically the implementation of the Erasmus+ programme in Europe.
- Experience in higher education stakeholder engagement and management.
- Knowledge of key policies in the South African PSET sector and related Acts, evidenced by research, publications or policy development and implementation.
- Excellent project management and financial skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Event Management and planning including venue selection, logistics, catering, and publicity
- Communication & visibility skills
- English C2. Knowledge of another South African official language will be an added advantage. Knowledge of another EU official language will be an added advantage.
Number of working days: 662 days (40 month project- full time assignment) . Place of perfomance Pretoria, South Africa, with missions around the country.
