Environment and OHS Specialist

(i) The Environment and Occupational Health and Safety Specialist shall have minimum Bachelor degree in Environmental, Natural Sciences, Natural Resources Management or related studies/disciplines.
(ii) The Environment and Occupational Health and Safety Specialist should have eight (8) years of experience in undertaking environmental and social health and safety, auditing, and monitoring. He/she should be OHS certified in one of the following: ISO 4500,NEBOSH, OSHAS or any similar. Experience in infrastructure projects is an added advantage.
(iii)He/She should have participated in the implementation of environmental and social management plans on the ground for at least three (3) similar projects. Demonstrated experience in ESHS construction supervision of construction works and coordination of teams.
(iv) The Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Specialist should have experience of at least two (2) projects in inspection, testing and evaluation of workplace environment, equipment and practices to ensure that follow the environment and safety standards and government policies.
(v) The specialist should provide training and guidance on the Environmental and OHS assistants.
(vi) He/She should be proficient in writing and fluent Portuguese with working knowledge of the English language.
