Environment Specialist

Qualification:

• Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or any related field.

Experience:

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in EIA studies of similar projects should have experience in the conduct of environmental management and monitoring for similar projects.

Language:

• Must be Proficient in Writing Technical Reports in English and can communicate well using the language Knowledge of the local language is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of surrounding areas to identify potential environmental impacts and risks
• Manage and implement measures to control project site noise, dust, and silt, ensuring minimal environmental impact
• Implement risk management measures to prevent environmental incidents and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
• Perform environmental audits to assess and maintain compliance with applicable environmental legislation
• Develop and execute environmental sustainability strategies and action plans
• Utilise data and analytics to monitor and report progress toward environmental goals and targets
• Supervise and provide leadership to a team of Environmental Officers.
• Have proven experience in environmental management
• Strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in environmental management software and data analysis tools
• Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
