The Senior Business Development (MSME) Expert works as consultant-trainer and will diagnose the needs of MSMEs and Mid-Caps. As such, it is expected that the Senior Business Development (MSME) Expert will work in close contact with the Financial Intermediaries and the wider eco-system to identify MSME/Mid-Cap needs and propose solutions.
The Senior Business Development (MSME) Expert liaises with and reports to the TL.
The Senior Business Development (MSME) Expert will be in charge of identifying final beneficiaries’ needs and weaknesses, preparing TA recommendations, organising workshops and training sessions, delivering the capacity building actions and/or mobilising short-term experts to that effect. The responsibilities include drafting training ToRs, quality management control, training delivery and evaluation, coaching trainees, reporting on attendance, performance, satisfaction and other indices relating to the functioning of the in-situ training programme or consulting actions delivered.
They will further monitor and report on the assignment’s progress and achievement of results. The knowledge of Ukrainian is considered essential to deliver effective training to MSMEs and Moldovan/Romanian would be an advantage.

The Consultant will be mostly based in Ukraine and Moldova. Regular travel throughout the two countries is also required in order to cover the activities outlined above. Regular travel to Luxembourg is expected.
Remote working will also be considered as deemed appropriate by the Consultant and upon prior approval by the EIB.
The intended start date is December 2024 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 60 months from this date.
