Project title: Technical Assistance to Support the European Affairs Section within the Egyptian Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation
Location: Egypt mainly, some home-based
Starting date: 14 January 2025
Project duration: 24 months (part-time input)

EQUINOCCIO is looking for a Private Sector and Guarantees Expert for the project “Technical Assistance to Support the European Affairs Section within the Egyptian Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation”. The expert will assist in promoting and monitoring EU blended finance schemes and guarantees, with a focus on private sector operations and capacity building.

Qualifications:

• University degree (Master’s level) in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.

General professional experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in development and concessional finance.
• Experience in the private sector or financial institutions focusing on public/private sector financing operations.

Specific professional experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in large private or public investment operations.
• Proven experience in providing capacity building to governmental executive officers.
• Promoting large-scale private or public investment operations, especially under unfunded instruments such as guarantees.
• Experience with EFSD/EFSD+ guarantees is an asset.
• International experience outside the country of origin is required.

Language Skills:

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
