EQUINOCCIO, Compañía de Comercio Exterior S.L is looking for Private Sector Development Specialist for the project “Technical Assistance - Private Sector Development”.
 Location: Kampala, Uganda
 Indicative start date: 12/12/2024
 Project duration: 35 months
 Team Leader. Support the coordination of the EU's cooperation in Uganda in the field of private sector development, with EU Member State
partners under the Sustainable Business for Uganda Team Europe Initiative, and with other development partners

➡ Qualifications and skills required:
 Advanced university degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Economics, Business Administration or other diploma relevant to the requested activities.
Excellent written/oral presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong analytical skills and computer literacy.

➡ General professional experience:
 Relevant working experience either in the private sector and/or in participating to technical assistance, advisory services, business projects or
consultancy programs in the area of private sector development.
 Experience in working on EU-funded projects/programmes would be an asset.

➡ Specific professional experience:
 Experience in supporting and guiding policy-making in the areas of investment climate, trade facilitation and private sector development –
with a specific focus on promoting inclusive and green investments, jobs and finance. In-depth knowledge of EU-Uganda/East Africa Economic, Trade and Investments relations - including Sanitary and Phytosanitary measures - EU’s external actions and investments plan.
 Experience in coordination/managing private sector development-
related meetings. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Ugandan Government structures and policies; notably Uganda’s trade, investment and economic development policies.
Extensive relevant working experience in conducting research, studies and policy-oriented analysis.
 Ability to synthesise multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral researches and reach statistically sound results. In-depth knowledge and understanding
of the Ugandan private sector and business communities based in Uganda; in particular with regards to skills and decent jobs, access to finance, governance and accountability, and productive infrastructures.
 Experience working on EU funded projects/programmes/ facilities aiming at supporting the implementation of EU trade/cooperation/investment
agreements or roadmaps would be an asset.

➡ Language skills:
Excellent spoken and written English.
