Key Expert 1: Team Leader
The Team Leader will be responsible for organising, coordinating and managing the work of the team ie: manage the inputs of key and non-key experts, according to the work programme to be developed by the Contractor;
organise and implement the delivery of all project outputs in a timely and effective manner while respecting the ToR and EU procedures; ensure that reporting obligations are met in a timely fashion, according to the ToR and the Organisation & Methodology; organise and implement Advisory Committee meetings; ensure networking and coordination with all relevant initiatives; coordinate the implementation of the Communication Strategy and presence at events; and primary contact for RoC authorities and for GC businesses/interlocutors;
Qualifications and Skills
Master’s Degree or equivalent diploma in law, economics, international relations, European studies, political science or social sciences or, in the absence of these, 4 years of general professional experience beyond the required 6 years of general professional experience (10 years altogether of general professional experience);
Proven knowledge of and professional experience in the political, social and economic context of Cyprus with special regards to the Cyprus problem;
Demonstrated good communication skills, diplomatic skills and IT skills;
Demonstrated excellent command of written and spoken English and Greek; and
Knowledge of the GLR would be considered an advantage
General Professional Experience
At least 6 years of professional experience..
Specific Professional Experience
At least 2 years of professional experience working in Cyprus;
At least 4 years of professional experience working on trade/free movement of goods/economic development;
Professional experience working in direct contact with authorities in an EU MS;
Team leader/manager in at least one previous assignment;
Professional experience from negotiations and/or representation;
Professional experience working with private sector would be an advantage;
Professional experience working with EU standards would be an advantage; and
Experience working on EU funded projects would be an advantage
