Evaluation Lead

Ektimisi is a research and development MENA-based consulting firm operating in many countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe Regions. Ektimisi provides a wide range of services for non-profit and civil society organizations, donors, research bodies, and academic centers. Through our field teams and local partners, we have access to and can provide Third-Party-Monitoring (TPM), evaluation, research, capacity building, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment services in many locations in the Middle East (Syria, Iraq, and Turkey).

Expected Role

EKTIMISI is looking for experienced evaluation lead for overseeing the evaluation process for multi-sectoral projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and maintaining effective communication with clients. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, communication and writing skills.

Key Tasks:

1. Managing the project staff and ensuring that they are performing their tasks and meeting deadlines.
2. Ensuring deadlines are met and respected.
3. Leading the communication with clients, including organizing and attending meetings.
4. Preparing and presenting any requested presentations to clients, highlighting key findings.
5. Conducting qualitative data analysis.
6. Developing necessary technical tools for project monitoring and evaluation activities and providing analysis guides to guide the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
7. Writing technical reports based on the nature of the TPM (Evaluation) assignment.
8. Ensuring the approval of inception reports and tools.
9. Delivering approved deliverables as per the Terms of Reference (ToR) and the technical proposal.
10. Providing training for field teams on the developed technical tools.
11. Being able to travel (if necessary) to provide on-field training or field missions.
12. Performing other duties arising from the nature of the tasks above based on the development of business and work activities.

Qualifications Required

1. Minimum 6 years of experience in the humanitarian sector (must)
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in evaluation humanitarian projects (must)
3. Have native or native like English language skills (must)
4. Strong editing and writing skills (must)
5. Research/assessment skills (highly preferable)
6. A relevant university degree (social sciences, conflict management, development studies, etc.)
7. Demonstrate an understanding of development/ humanitarian sector
8. Excellent skills with Word and Excel (highly preferrable)
9. Have an ability to manage different activities and to meet deadlines

What we offer:

1. The role is paid based on daily rate. The daily rate will depend on the years of experience and other proven skills. The daily rate will be agreed on per assignment.
