PSD - Sustainable Investment Thematic Specialist

Equinoccio, Compañía de Comercio Exterior, S.L  is looking for a Private Sector Development and Sustainable Investment Specialist for the  project “Trade and Private Sector Development (TPSD) Facility III”.

• Location: Brussels. Other locations in the EU, EEA, Switzerland or the UK may be considered.  TA missions and filed missions to other project relevant countries.
• Tentative start date:  01 September 2025
• Duration: 54 months
• Input: 990 working days

 Qualifications and skills

• University degree in the areas of economic, social or political sciences or 3 years of equivalent professional experience
• Domain of English as working language.   Good knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset.

 General professional experience

• 10 years proven experience covering the formulation and/or implementation and/or evaluation of international development co-operation policies, programmes and projects.

 Specific professional experience

Expert should have min. 5 years of proven experience in at least two of the following areas of expertise:

• Facilitation of sustainable investments, including sustainable, green and social investments.
• Inclusive business models and business models for resilience.
• Trade, including e-trade.
• Private sector development

Professional experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered as an asset:

• Financial inclusion, including digital financial inclusion.
• Vocational education and training (VET)
• Sustainable value chains and human rights approach in businesses
• Women economic empowerment
• Business environment reform

Opportunities for short term input in the project in any of the above-mentioned thematic areas will also be open for non-permanent experts.
