Finance and Budget Support Officers

Location: EUAA HQ, Malta.

Tentative start date: 01/02/2025, with a probationary period of 6 months.

Salary Category IV - Gross monthly: 3,920.72 Euros.

Job Description

The job holder will be required to perform some or all the following tasks:

  • Data entry: Encoding of business partners, as well as invoices/credit notes in the financial system;
  • Mission management, review/control of travel expenses and preparing reports;
  • Provide support to clients on compliance with the mission guide;
  • Supporting monitoring, controlling and reporting on the budget implementation on a regular basis;
  • Drafting new or improving of existing manuals, internal rules, guidelines and templates for forecasting, preparation and implementation of the Agency’s budget;
  • Preparation of documents (cover notes, power points, speaking points, etc) as relevant;
  • Project and/or contract management; 
  • Any other tasks upon request of the Head(s) of Sector/Unit. 

Minimum Requirements

  • First-degree or postgraduate qualification
  • 2 years of proven professional experience in tasks relevant to the aforementioned duties;

General Requirements

  • Excellent command of English, both oral and written, at least at C1 level;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Team-player keen to work in a dynamic, multicultural environmentKnowledge:
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office family products (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook);  
  • Knowledge of programme/project management;
