We are awarded the tender for a project for the EIB project to support the Assistance to the EIB Group Complaints Mechanism for case handling in relation to the Bogota Sustainable Transport Framework Loan, under Lot 2 (Environmental and social assistance in case handling)

We are looking for profiles to fill the position:

  • Key Expert I: (Category II)

Mandatory Qualifications

    • Five (5) to ten (10+) years of relevant and ongoing work experience in a relevant field including, but not limited to: social sciences, law, environment, development.
    • Professional experience in relevant fields, in particular: environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) and/or due diligence of projects financed by International Financial Institutions (IFI).
    • Work on environmental and social sustainability in the context of international finance and areas of sectoral focus for EIB (e.g. energy, transport, urban development, project finance, etc.).
    • Good command of both English and Spanish spoken and written (equivalent to B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). 
    • Excellent analytical and research skills.
    • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Mandatory Qualifications

    • A university degree of at least three (3) years attested by a diploma. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: social sciences, law, environment, development, political science.
    • Experience or knowledge in working with environmental and/or social issues covered by IFI Environmental and Social Standards, preferably in an accountability or grievance mechanism, in one or more of the following areas:
      • stakeholder engagement
      • involuntary resettlement
      • grievance mechanisms
      • human rights
      • social inclusion and vulnerable groups
      • labour conditions
      • community health and safety 
      • environmental health and safety
      • pollution prevention and management
      • hazardous waste and materials
    • Capacity to engage with a range of stakeholders including private sector, government, NGOs and project affected communities.
    • Knowledge of EIB's and/or other IFIs environmental and social policies and standards.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyse policies and practices in complex institutional contexts.
