Responsibilities:

The General Education Program at the American University of Armenia (AUA) seeks to hire highly qualified educators who are committed to fostering student engagement, intellectual growth, and the development of essential skills across a broad spectrum of disciplines. Our goal is to provide students with a well-rounded education that emphasizes critical thinking, global awareness, interdisciplinary learning, and lifelong skills.

The General Education Program offers a diverse range of courses designed to cultivate a strong foundation in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences.  We are particularly interested in educators who can contribute to cohesive clusters of courses across various disciplines. Qualifications:

The ideal candidates will possess a graduate degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in a relevant field, accompanied by substantial teaching experience (preferably in the US) and, where applicable, industry experience. Preference will be given to individuals who demonstrate expertise in designing and delivering interdisciplinary courses that engage students in active, inquiry-based learning. A proven track record of teaching excellence, commitment to student development, and the ability to integrate innovative pedagogical methods into course delivery are essential. Candidates with a strong record of research and/or professional achievements in their respective fields are preferred.

Compensation: AUA is committed to offering competitive compensation packages  commensurate with the candidate’s academic qualifications and achievements, teaching experience, and alignment with the university’s culture.
