Description

Team Leader for Local Fund Agent services in Papua New Guinea

Due to IT issues previous submitted applications have not been received. If you applied, please re-send your CV. Thank you in advance!

SGS is Local Fund Agent (LFA) for the Global Fund (GF). In response to a tender for LFA services in Papua New Guinea, we would like to get in touch with potential Finance Professionals. It is a part-time position, with most verifications conducted remotely, supplemented by occasional field visits. Our LFA teams—comprising financial, M&E, and PSM experts—verify local project implementation by the fund recipient and report their findings to the Global Fund in Switzerland.

The Global Fund invests in projects worldwide to defeat HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, and currently has two active grants (TB/HIV and Malaria) in Papua New Guinea.

The grants are being implemented by NGOs with local Sub Recipients.

Please carefully read the minimum requirements for the position:

  •          Master’s degree in Public Health, Finance/Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Science, or other relevant discipline
  •          At least 10 years of management experience, preferably in the health, social or financial sector.
    •         Only experience in leading teams is applicable; merely holding a senior position does not qualify
  •          In-depth knowledge of issues relating to project management in developing countries
  •          Able to triangulate programmatic, financial and health product data and findings, to ensure adequate quality assurance of LFA deliverables
  •          Strong communication, writing and analytical skills
  •          Work experience in Papua New Guinea
  •          Experience with Global Fund programs

If you comply, please fill out the attached short requirements table. We look forward to receiving your CV and the table at the following email adddress: kirsten.blits@sgs.com and nl.gis.projectmanagement@sgs.com. Thank you in advance!

* Only candidates who comply with the requirements are considered and responded to.
