Job Title:  Experts Pool –  Cowater’s Programming in Syria
Duration/Level of Effort: Full Time & Part time / Short Term & Long Term
Position Location: Syria and remote

SUMMARY OF THE OPPORTUNITY
Cowater is looking to build its pool of experts in anticipation of upcoming development opportunities in Syria.
 
 
SUMMARY OF THE POSITIONS
We are issuing this call to build a roster of short- and long-term experts with experience in Syria or similar context.
 
We are looking for experts who can provide specialist knowledge and expertise relating to each of the following areas:
 
Technical areas:

  • transitional justice
  • security sector reform
  • gender equality and social inclusion
  • peacebuilding and stabilisation
  • countering disinformation and strategic communication
  • safeguarding
  • community cohesion
  • human rights
  • technology for development


Project management:

  • research
  • monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL)
  • knowledge management
  • communications
  • financial management
  • grant management
  • operations management

 
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in Syria or similar context.
  • Experience with bilateral donor-funded projects preferred.

 
Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in Arabic and/or English, depending on the area of expertise.
