Environmental Specialist

We, K&J Projects Private Limited, INDIA are submitting proposal for “Consultancy Services for Detailed feasibility and detailed engineering design of 221 km state road network”.

Environmental Specialist (Intermittent Input)

Education: Qualified with a Graduate in Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science with at least 15 years experience. Post Graduate in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science will be an advantage.

Experience:

·      Minimum 10 years on environmental impact assessment of development projects and conversant with WB / ADB requirements under safeguard Policy Statement and related experience of about 5 years in developing countries is essential.

·  5 years in base line survey, environment impact assessment, monitoring and Environmental Management Plan (EMP), preparation of EIA reports, Environmental/ Forest/ Wildlife clearance reports of highway infrastructure projects/ externally aided projects.

·       He/She should have experience of conducting environmental impact assessment for roads located in hilly area and should be conversant in preparing management/mitigation measures for at least three projects of similar type and scale.

·  He/She must have full knowledge of the international financial institutions’ guidelines, procedures and operational policies/directives.

·        Experience of working as environmental specialist in at least two international financial institutions funded projects is required.

·  He/She must have the experience of preparing environmental management plans and supervising and monitoring implementation of the plans. He/She should have organized participatory consultation workshops.

·    Environmental Specialist in at least 3 highway project (intermediate /2/4/6 laning of NH/ SH/ MDR/Expressways/ externally aided projects).

·        Environmental Specialist in preparation of DPR/Feasibility Study of intermediate/ 2/ 4 laning works of major highway projects (NH/ SH/ MDR/Expressways/externally aided projects) of aggregate length of about 100 km.
