The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a global programme working on the prevention of violence and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. In Iraq the CPS project advises governmental and non-governmental institutions and organizations on addressing injustice, providing psychosocial support and securing peace. CPS specialists also support minorities affected by IS crimes through training sessions, technical advice, and networking with national and international stakeholders. In the field of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, CPS supports the master’s programme of the Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychotraumatology (IPP) at the University of Duhok and strengthens psychotherapeutic interventions through training and networking with local organisations.
