Grant Manager (m/f/d) Global Project I
We are looking for you as Grant Manager (m/f/d) Global Project I as soon as possible.
The position is part of the International Cooperation department of the German Red Cross General Secretariat and is assigned to the Partnerships and Learning team.
In our global humanitarian aid projects, humanitarian-focused development cooperation, and the long-term capacity-building programs of our sister organizations, the team makes an important contribution to the further development of quality standards, support in fulfilling accountability obligations, and coordination with partners and institutional donors.
The position is full-time. It is a parental leave replacement, and the offer is initially limited until November 30, 2026.
Your tasks:
Lead coordination of individual projects within the framework of global project funding including planning, monitoring and reporting
Consolidation of individual project information for the preparation of all internal and external reports in close cooperation with country and specialist officers
Coordination and professional exchange with the Federal Foreign Office within the framework of the agreed steering mechanism, including coordination and preparation of meetings
Preparation and communication (e.g. briefings and training) of funding guidelines and formats of the funding bodies for the regional and thematic subject areas
Quality assurance to ensure compliance with donor regulations and DRK guidelines and procedures
Support and preparation of planned audits and examinations in close coordination with the Operational Finance department
Preparation of statements and presentations on issues and developments of Global Project I and on policy topics
Contact person for the partnership with the Federal Foreign Office and substantive participation in committees and/or working groups of the donors on strategic issues of humanitarian aid and development cooperation
Coordination and professional exchange with other aid organizations on issues relating to institutional donors
Ensuring effective and efficient information management (preparation of material for internal and external communication)
We expect:
Relevant university/university of applied sciences degree
Very good knowledge of the formal requirements and content-related priorities of German donors in humanitarian aid and development cooperation; good knowledge of European donors is an advantage
Several years of experience in submitting applications and reporting on donor-funded projects, particularly through the Federal Foreign Office
Sound business knowledge, particularly in project management (AA, BMZ) as well as project management experience from emergency aid and development cooperation
Good knowledge of the international cooperation of the German Red Cross and the international RK-/RH movement
Ability to quickly grasp and analyze complex issues, structured and proactive way of working
Strong teamwork skills, coordination and organizational skills, and a high degree of flexibility
Fluent English skills, ideally good knowledge of French or Spanish
Willingness to travel abroad, suitability for tropical conditions
