PROJECT BACKGROUND
Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Finance Consultant will support the Finance and Corporate Services (FCS) team of the GGGI Indonesia Country Office in delivering finance, accounting, and operational activities, in line with the requirements, rules, and systems established by GGGI and its donors. The Consultant will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial functions, including bookkeeping and compliance activities.
Working closely with the Sr. Finance Associate and the wider FCS team, the Consultant will assist in the implementation of financial and corporate service-related tasks to ensure smooth and effective delivery of GGGI Indonesia’s operations. The consultant will also be granted access to the ERP system of GGGI. Responsibilities will include the execution and documentation of financial transactions and ensuring appropriate financial coding and record-keeping.
SCOPE OF WORK
The assignment will include the following but not limited to:
- Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records and organize supporting documents to ensure readiness for audits and compliance with internal policies.
- Travel Expense Management: Prepare, review, and reconcile monthly travel expense reports in accordance with financial guidelines.
- DOAC-Funded Event Coordination: Oversee the full process for DOAC-funded events, including reviewing required documentation (flight quotation, event budget, TOR, DOAC request form, and PM approval), submitting CR approval requests, and entering approved events into the ERP system.
- Fund Request Compilation: Support the preparation, review, and compilation of fund request packages for timely approval.
- Asset Verification & Documentation: Conduct regular physical asset verifications across all locations to ensure accurate tracking and proper documentation in the asset register.
- Expense Report Review: Assist in the verification of employee expense reports to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Payment Processing: Prepare weekly payment schedules and ensure accurate and timely uploads to the e-banking platform.
- Budget Activation Support: Assist in the preparation and upload of budget activation entries into the ERP system, ensuring alignment with approved financial plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration or a related field.
- Preferably at least one year of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience in international organizations is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, project support, and administrative tasks is beneficial.
- Experience in the procurement process for goods and services.
- Proficiency in both Indonesian and English is required.
