The purpose of this activity is to finalize and deliver a 12-month integrated education and skills training program focusing on literacy, numeracy, and life skills for 6000 young women and 1000 young men (age 15-35). It will also provide learners with hands-on training in the following market relevant vocation skills: agriculture, childcare, fisheries, solar energy, community health work, and connecting learners with employers or guiding them towards entrepreneurship opportunities at the end of the project. The activities will be implemented in Banadir state.
Education Development Center (EDC) is seeking a seasoned curriculum development expert to develop and review curriculum for adult learners and young women in the Banadir region in Somalia.
Candidates shall have at a minimum the following qualifications:
Education:
Master’s degree in education, specializing in curriculum studies/development or teacher education.
Skills and Experience:
Language:
Professionally proficient and fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Somali language will be an added advantage.
