Program Background
ASIPS+ works across the Australian bilateral aid program, as well as provides support to the Australian High Commission administrations in Honiara. The in-country ASIPS+ Facility Support Unit (FSU) operates in a complex and evolving context, providing operational services to enable DFAT to meet its goals and objectives in Solomon Islands. The range of support includes, but is not limited to:
Procurement and contract management of technical assistance in Solomon Islands and remotely, and support to performance management across all sector programs;
Provision of support services (including logistics and security management) for Australian Government’s deployees and technical advisers; and
Strategic advice, management and reporting, including program management (education), infrastructure technical management, monitoring and evaluation, strategic communications financial management and grant management.
The integration of the cross-cutting issues of gender equality, disability and social inclusion, climate change, indigenous participation and localisation throughout program delivery.
Australia Solomon Islands Program Support (ASIPS+) facility is funded by the Australian Government and implemented by DT Global.

The Role
The Deputy Facility Director / Operations Lead is a key member of the ASIPS+ senior management team, reporting directly to the Facility Director and collaborating closely with DFAT to advance the strategic objectives of ASIPS+. This role supports the Facility Director in managing operations, fostering harmonious team relationships, and driving high performance to deliver program outcomes effectively.

About You
You will need to have the following:
Tertiary degree in International Relations, Finance, Business, Human Resource Management, or related field.
At least 10 years experience in project/operations management, including budgeting and reporting for donor-funded programs in Asia-Pacific, preferably with DFAT, and proven donor facility experience.
Strong relationship-building, representational, and negotiation skills to engage diverse organizations and achieve sustainable outcomes.
Demonstrated leadership in complex, multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural settings, with a focus on capacity building and knowledge sharing.
Excellent communication and analytical skills, with proven ability to produce high-quality donor reports and manage risks effectively.
Experience in change management, mentoring senior managers, and working in Solomon Islands or Pacific Islands development programs with strong cross-cultural skills.
Strong coordination, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in resource-constrained environments.
Knowledge of cross-cutting development issues, including gender, anti-corruption, and disability inclusion.
Remuneration
Commensurate to the technical knowledge and years of relevant experience and in accordance with the DT Global and ASIPS+ remuneration framework
