Background
Since 2019, with funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and the Governments of Switzerland (SDC) and Sweden (Sida), UNDP Georgia and the Government of Georgia have been implementing a programme titled Reducing the Risk of Climate-Driven Disasters.
The programme comprised three interrelated projects:
In 2024 November, GCF funded project was extended until April, 2027 and 2nd phase of SDC-funded project was launched. Closing of Sida-funded project is expected in June 2025.[1]
The programme is implemented under the National Implementation Modality (NIM), with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture (MEPA) serving as the executing entity and implementing partner.
The overarching objective of the programme is to reduce the exposure of Georgia’s communities, livelihoods, and infrastructure to climate-induced natural hazards by establishing a fully operational, nation-wide multi-hazard early warning system (MHEWS) and promoting risk-informed local actions. This objective will be achieved through the following three outputs:
The Programme Team requires the services of an Information Management and Reporting Associate to support he high-standard, accurate and informative reporting to the donors and national partners, as well as to assist the Programme team and the UNDP Communications Team in preparing high-quality communications materials related to the Programme and the UNDP environmental work in general and support the progamme in community outreach and engagement.
Under direct supervision of the GCF/SDC/SIDA project managers and UNDP’s Environment & Energy (E&E) Team Leader, the Information Management and Reporting Associate will be tasked with drafting and editing the narrative reports, proposals, presentations, templates and other procedural documents in compliance with the relevant reporting standards. Further, s/he will be engaged in organizing public events and working meetings and preparing background content for the communication materials (brochures, stories, press releases, presentations, talking points, case studies) and supporting programmatic and/or communication initiatives driven by the donors or national partners.
The Information Management and Reporting Associate will be responsible for maintaining close collaboration with the UNDP Communications Team as well as communication teams of the donor agencies and national partners, including the Government of Georgia.
[1]Within the position mandate, support from the Information Management& Reporting Assistant is foreseen for the Sida-funded project during 2025 in closure of the project, such as development of final project report.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance and supervision of the GCF/SIDA/SDC Project Managers, and in close collaboration with the UNDP CO Communications Team, the incumbent will provide the following tasks and activities:
1. Support the updating and implementation of the Communications Strategy and Plan
2. Support Event Planning and Management.
3. Support Media and Public Relations
4. Support in Content Creation and Publications.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation of Communications Activities.
6. Information and Knowledge Management
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessaryfor the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Institutional Arrangement
Under direct supervision of the National Project Coordinator (GCF), SDC/SIDA Project Managers and E&E portfolio team leader and in close collaboration with the UNDP CO Communication Team, Information Management and Reporting Associate will support the pogramme team to ensure effective information management and reporting.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
Completion of Secondary Education. Or
University degree in Social Science or Economy, preferably in Public Administration, Communication, Economics, International Relations, Development Studies, Management or related disciplines will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.
Experience:
Minimum 6 years (with secondary education) or 3 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant working experience in stakeholder engagement, customer services, reporting is required.
Required skills
• Experience in developing presentations using different programs (e.g. Power Point, or Prezi, etc)
• Experience in community level engagement at least from two projects.
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies section
• Experience of working in international organization would be an asset.
• Experience in developing communication content/materials would be an asset.
• Experience in knowledge products management would be an asset.
Required Language(s) - Fluency in English and Georgian is required.
