The TWIGIRE MUNYARWANDA ORGANIZATION (TMO) is a Rwandan non-governmental organization that works mainly with the youth and the community in general to build the capacity of youth people to help them to get sufficient skills and start profitable businesses.
TMO submits its Annual Report and Action Plan to the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB), with a copy to the District office where the organization carried out its activities.
We have started working since 2022, and has got legal personality with registration number: 935/RGB/NGO/LP/09/2023 in 2023, the key focus of our intervention was empowering youth by providing them equal opportunities for creating innovation and escape from poverty.
This organization plans to operate throughout the entire country as the budget will becomes available, in order to continue helping the youth from poor families to get opportunities of increasing skills and become self-employment.
The organization consists of 16 members, and staff which participate in the implementation of programs prepared by the organization in order to achieve the goals the organization has decided,
TMO continues to build upon a strong relationship with local authorities, civil society organizations and the government of Rwanda to implement programs that serve the vulnerable youth and their communities in the country.
The Fundraising & Communications Officer will lead efforts to raise funds, strengthen donor relationships, and communicate the organization’s work to the public. This position is key to ensuring the sustainability and visibility of the TWIGIRE MUNYARWANDA ORGANIZATION.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies, campaigns, and events.
- Identify and build relationships with potential donors, partners, and sponsors.
- Write grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports.
- Manage online fundraising platforms (social media campaigns).
- Develop content for newsletters, social media, and website updates.
- Maintain the organization’s brand and messaging consistency.
- Organize media coverage and represent the organization in communications activities.
- Track and report on fundraising performance and communications reach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Development Studies, Public Relations, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in fundraising, communications, or donor relations.
- Strong writing skills for proposals, social media, and reports.
- Knowledge of fundraising tools, digital marketing, and communication strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Proficiency in English and Kinyarwanda (French is an added advantage).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
