We are building a pool of experienced Geographic Information System Operators for potential consultancy engagements.
This initiative aims to identify qualified professionals who can be tapped for future projects as they arise. Experts in the pool will be considered for upcoming projects based on their expertise, availability, and the specific requirements of each project.
Qualifications/Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Science, Computer Science, Urban Planning, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience operating GIS software.
- Proficiency in spatial data management, spatial analysis, and cartographic design.
- Familiarity with database management systems.
- Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial data accuracy standards.
- Knowledge of remote sensing, GPS data collection, and integration of field data into GIS databases is a plus.
- Ability to perform geoprocessing tasks, automate workflows using scripting languages is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for report writing and explaining technical GIS concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
