About Ektimisi

Ektimisi is a MENA-based research and development consulting firm operating across the Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe, with a focus on conflict-affected and hard-to-reach areas. We specialize in providing high-quality services in research, evaluation, third-party monitoring, capacity building, and policy advisory to humanitarian and development actors worldwide.

Position Overview

Ektimisi is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Projects and Reporting Specialist (PRS) to support the implementation, coordination, and quality assurance of consultancy assignments. The PRS will contribute across all phases of the project cycle—from proposal development to data collection support and technical reporting—while ensuring that internal processes, tools, and documentation systems are well maintained.

This role involves working directly with Field Teams, Technical Experts, and Ektimisi Management, with a high level of responsibility for reporting, client engagement, and internal coordination. The PRS is reporting to the Head of Projects.

Key Responsibilities (Summarized)

  • Coordinate and manage project implementation, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage internal/ external communication, task follow-up, and coordination across teams, including oversight of fieldwork.
  • Draft and edit technical reports, inception reports, proposals, and documentation in collaboration with technical experts.
  • Conduct qualitative data analysis and support quantitative review to ensure evidence-based reporting.
  • Organize and maintain structured documentation and deliverables using SharePoint or other internal systems.
  • Support proposal development, including drafting, packaging, and client engagement to defend or clarify submissions.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, including interviews, on behalf of the organization or project/ BD teams.
  • Assist in recruiting qualified experts and support onboarding and team coordination.
  • Review and assure the quality of projects and deliverables prepared by other PRS team members, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
  • Provide direct operational and reporting support to the Managing Director, including timely response to urgent tasks.
  • Identify and implement internal improvements to tools, systems, or workflows that enhance quality or efficiency.
  • Complete assigned and unassigned tasks proactively, with minimal need for follow-up or reminders.
  • Carry out any other tasks as required based on business needs and management direction.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the humanitarian, development, or consulting sectors, preferably in project coordination, reporting, or research roles.
  • Proven track record in producing high-quality technical reports and research deliverables for NGOs, UN agencies, or international donors.
  • Strong ability to manage tasks independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and ensure timely delivery with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative analysis methods and ability to support evidence-based reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory); proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
  • High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to dynamic, fast-paced project environments.
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with diverse technical and field-based teams.

Work Modality and Compensation

  • Remote work with flexible working hours; preferred availability between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM for coordination and meetings.
  • Fixed monthly payment structure, with performance-based bonuses tied to awarded proposals and performance.
  • Ektimisi covers international money transfer fees; consultants are responsible for managing their own tax obligations.
  • Opportunity to engage in diverse, multi-country assignments across the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and beyond.
  • Direct collaboration and networking with local teams, technical experts, and clients operating in conflict-affected and hard-to-reach areas.
  • Exposure to a wide range of sectors and international actors in humanitarian, development, and governance fields.
