Environmental & Social Specialist

National Engineering Corporation invites qualified and experienced Environmental & Social Specialist to join our project team for the following World Bank–funded assignment:

Project: Consulting Services for the Detailed Design and Construction Supervision of the Providence Landfill Upgrade, Capacity Expansion, and Closure

Location: Mahe, Seychelles

Duration: 36 Months (7 months for Detailed Design, 12 months for Construction Supervision, and 12 months for Post-Construction Supervision)

Eligibility: These positions are open to Seychelles Nationals only

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor environmental and social impacts throughout project implementation.
• Update and implement the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).
• Ensure compliance with World Bank Environmental and Social Standards (ESS) and national laws.
• Conduct stakeholder engagement and prepare E&S reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or Social Sciences (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in E&S management in infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with World Bank/IFC environmental and social safeguards.
