This Opportunity:

The Manager, HR will be responsible for many aspects of day-to-day HR operations such as benefits management, report creation, new hire onboarding and offboarding, employee inquiries, HR compliance, and support for creation and maintenance of employee records. A high level of professional maturity, confidentiality and interpersonal communication with employees, leaders, and external stakeholders is essential for success.

Location and Compensation:

The position is based in Palladium’s Arlington, VA office. This is a hybrid position, with the expectation that the successful candidate be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

For our prospective employees in the United States, please note the salary range for this position is expected to range from $82,000 to $110,000.

Reporting Lines:

This role will report to the Vice President, Operational Excellence

This role may have supervisory responsibilities in the future

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Responds timely to HR inbox requests and triages appropriately
  • Becomes the administrator and fiduciary for the company’s 401K plan including the filing of the Form 5500
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Leads the updating and maintenance of onboarding and new-hire orientation sessions and schedule
  • Facilitates report creation, revising, and filtering on-demand using data from HR Systems and provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges
  • Coordinates regularly with global HR and the UK based HR team
  • Assists and coordinates employee relations issues and investigations
  • Ensures all reporting requirements are met on time and in full
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA while ensuring compliance with FMLA and ADA requirements.
  • Responds promptly to unemployment claims, state inquiries, and any other government requests
  • Reviews and approves HR vendor invoices for payment processing
  • Supports with audit requests that involve HR
  • Administers the tuition reimbursement program
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5 to 7 years of direct human resource management experience
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment-related laws and regulations, and proven ability to ensure organizational compliance and establish best practices
  • Understanding of international HR and compliance issues highly desired
  • Proven track record in administering a wide range of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, eligibility determination, and issue resolution
  • Extensive experience managing compliance processes, meeting all reporting requirements and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
