We are shortlisted by The World Bank for Request for Proposals for “Consultancy to conduct Drainage Standards and Road Asset Management” in The Gambia. Additionally, we are also executing 4 funded assignments in Gambia.
a) Qualifications and skills: A qualified Professional with a BSc in geosciences, engineering, or related field
b) General Professional Experience: Minimum post-qualification experience of 10 years and shall have handled at least 2 similar assignments within the last 6 years including at least 2 years of African work experience at the same position or similar
c) Specific Professional Experience: He shall have demonstrable skills in hydrological data analyses
d) Roles & Responsibilities: The key duties of a Hydrologist will include but not be limited to the following:
● Conduct surveys and collect data on rainfall, streamflow, groundwater levels and water quality
● Set up and maintain hydrological monitoring stations equipped with sensors for continuous data collection (e.g. flowmeters, water quality probes).
● Analyze hydrological data to identify trends, patterns and correlations.
● Assess the behavior of watersheds, including runoff, infiltration and drainage.
● Develop strategies for sustainable use and conservation of water resources
● Propose adaption measures for water management in response to climate variability
