We are shortlisted by The World Bank for Request for Proposals for “Consultancy to conduct Drainage Standards and Road Asset Management” in The Gambia. Additionally, we are also executing 4 funded assignments in Gambia.
a) Qualifications and skills: A qualified Professional with a BSc or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, GIS, or related field.
b) General Professional Experience: Minimum post-qualification experience of 7 years and shall have handled at least 2 similar assignments within the last 5 years including at least 3 years of African work experience in the same position or similar
c) Specific Professional Experience: He/she shall have demonstrable skills in all aspects roads and highways engineering, with experience in planning, design, construction, and maintenance of roads, bridges, culverts and all aspects of transport infrastructure.
d) Roles & Responsibilities: The key duties of the GIS specialist will include but are not limited to the following:
● Supporting in the development and management of GIS applications
● Overseeing the planning and coordination of GIS activities
● Developing and managing quality control standards for GIS products
● Performing data capture and analysis for GIS projects
● GIS data conversion between multiple file formats
● Assisting with metadata development
