Currently, we are looking for International Experts to be included in our Proposal for Urban Master Plan Project in Uzbekistan for following position :
4️⃣ Environment / SESA Experts (3 persons)

[Requirements]

• Higher education (Bachelor's degree) in environmental management or comparable
• At least 10 years of INTERNATIONAL experience in environmental management and strategic environmental and social assessment
• Experience with environmental management, SESA and climate adaptation strategies and approaches at the local/district level

[Role & Responsiblities]

• Preparation and execution of the Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment (SESA) to enable upstream integration of environmental and social (E&S) considerations into spatial planning decisions
• Execution of the SESA in parallel with the draft District Spatial Plans and Regional Spatial Strategies
• Assessment of environmental and social risks, impacts, opportunities, and trade-offs to inform spatial plans for regions and districts
• Integration of identified environmental and social risks and mitigation measures into the policies and projects of the Spatial Plans before finalisation and approval
• Preparation of actionable recommendations for downstream planning, including Master Plans, for projects and investments identified in the spatial plans
• Contribution to Cross Cutting Topic 3: Spatial Development Policy and Institutional Review, including:
  • Analysis of the current governance setup for district / regional spatial planning and local development
• Contribution to stakeholder engagement activities related to environmental and social aspects of the plans
• Contribution to the preparation of deliverables related to Strategic Environmental and Social Impact Assessment as detailed in Annex 5.
