Job Title: Team Leader / Chief Resident Engineer

Location: Project Site (Full-time)

Role: Lead the technical supervision and contract administration for a major dam construction and rehabilitation project. Act as the senior on-site 'Engineer's Representative'.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and technical oversight for dam construction and rehabilitation.
• Supervise all site works, staff, and contractors to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Administer the contract (FIDIC), handling payments, variations, claims, and reporting.
• Liaise with the Client, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Master’s in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 25+ years overall civil engineering experience.
• 15+ years as Senior/Chief Resident Engineer or 'Engineer's Representative'.
• 8+ years specifically in design & supervision of dams >$15M and dam rehabilitation.
• Proven experience administering large dam contracts in developing countries (Africa preferred).
• Field experience in difficult or remote project areas.
• Expert knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
• Fluent in English (excellent writing skills required).
