This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational success of a national hub for agricultural development, gaining hands-on experience in project support, administration, and facility management within a dynamic and impactful environment.

The Ministry of Agriculture Conference Center is a modern, self-financing national hub designed to host high-level agricultural conferences, training programs, and multi-stakeholder events. To achieve financial sustainability and world-class service delivery, the Center requires strong administrative systems, rigorous financial discipline, and impeccable standards of cleanliness and facility upkeep.


The intern will report to the Project Assistant and  will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and a pristine, welcoming environment at all times.


1. Project Support and Administration

  • Assist in the preparation of project-related documents, including reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
  • Support the Project Assistant in tracking project progress, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project files, both physical and electronic.
  • Assist with logistical arrangements for project events, workshops, and training programs.
  • Support the procurement process by assisting with the preparation of purchase requisitions and tracking orders.


2. Financial Management and Cost Control

  • Assist in monitoring project expenditures and ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Assist in tracking and managing invoices and payments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cost-saving measures.


3. Facility Management and Upkeep

  • Assist in ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the Conference Center facilities.
  • Support the coordination of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist in managing inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Support the implementation of safety and security protocols.


4. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Assist in communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, partners, and clients.
  • Support the preparation of communication materials, such as newsletters and website content.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating meetings and events.
  • Provide excellent customer service to Conference Center users.
