Project Background & Context
The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) is launching a multi-year Framework Contract for Communication Services to support its institutional communication, visibility and public diplomacy activities across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The contract aims to strengthen the UfM’s positioning as a key regional actor for dialogue, cooperation and sustainable development, by delivering integrated communication strategies, digital campaigns, public affairs actions and human-centred storytelling. Activities will cover a wide range of flagship initiatives, policy priorities and regional projects, engaging diverse audiences including public institutions, opinion leaders, media, youth and civil society across more than 40 member states.
The selected team will work in close coordination with the UfM Secretariat’s Communication & Public Affairs Unit, contributing to strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of communication actions at regional and country level, in a multilingual and multicultural environment (English, French, Arabic and Spanish).
This is a long-term framework contract (up to 36 months) requiring high levels of strategic thinking, coordination capacity and experience working with international or public institutions in complex regional contexts.
Key Expert 2: Digital and Social Media Strategist (SECTOR 3. SUPPORT TO DIGITAL COMMUNICATION)
The position is the main responsible for the coordination and successful execution of social media and digital strategies, campaigns and tools in specific countries or in the UfM’s overall region. This senior position will provide the direction to each project team to achieve the stated digital objectives of the campaigns and the overall long-term goals.
Qualifications, skills and languages
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of digital communications, multimedia, communications or other relevant discipline
• Excellent command of social media monitoring, publishing and promotional tools. Excellent knowledge of the overall digital environment. Excellent writing skills
• Excellent command of English, French or Spanish (C2 level equivalent) and good command of a second language (English or French, B2 level equivalent)
Professional experience
• At least 8 years of professional experience in devising and implementing social media and digital strategies. Experience for public institutions will be evaluated positively
