1.   Introduction:

2.   Purpose of the role: 

We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar and relevant experience in document control. As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate flow of information and documentation throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to ISO 19650 standards.

3.   Role Description   

The focus of the role will be:

  • Create and maintain project documentation in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Ensure all project documents are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Ensure quality checks on documents to ensure compliance with project standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor and track project document status and ensure all stakeholders have access to the correct version of documents.
  • Respond to information requests from project stakeholders and ensure documents are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Manage document distribution and transmittals, ensuring proper tracking and recording of all document movements.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project document control procedures and standards.
  • Provide training and support to project team members on document control processes and procedures.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and information on system usage, status of RFI’s, change requests, notices, etc. and assist with ad-hoc requests relating to user activity.
  • Maintain User Directories and Information Management Protocol - Update and maintain the user access matrix and IM Protocol.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests relating to information management – Provide ad-hoc advice and guidance on use of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and associated user guides and policy documents.
  • Develop and configure workflows within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) – Define and create workflows for new processes and activities associated with new teams and ways of working.
  • Access control and permissions maintenance within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Provide general project administration support to the team/office.

5.  Candidate specification:   

The following specifications apply:

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in document control, preferably in construction or engineering projects.
  • Expertise in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and experience in document control using ACC.
  • Knowledge of project document control procedures and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software and tools.
