We’re looking for a professional with experience in infrastructure finance technical advisory who will act as a senior advisor in our infrastructure finance advisory team.
1. Role Description:
Reporting to the Infrastructure Finance Advisory Discipline Lead.
Collaborating with the Discipline Lead and providing support in developing and cultivating targeted client relationships and managing select key client accounts.
Following up leads, identifying business opportunities and preparing proposal submissions.
Developing new and maintaining existing relationships with allocated client accounts;
Acting as advisor or lead advisor on infrastructure finance, technical advisory commissions or Advisory commissions
Acting as project manager and being responsible for managing project budgets and resource planning;
Taking own initiatives or contributing in wider team Advisory initiatives to improve products and services;
Ensuring at project level that business management systems and procedures are adhered to.
2. Candidate Specifications:
Infrastructure finance specific attributes:
- Minimum of 5 years’ infrastructure finance technical advisor experience in Africa across one or more sectors;
- Experience as lead transaction advisor or lead technical advisor in Public Private Partnership Projects or other type infrastructure finance transactions;
- Knowledge of one or more of MPAMOT’s core infrastructure areas (Energy, Water, Transport, Built Environment);
- Good knowledge of infrastructure finance technical advisor services in at least one of the following:project structuring and procurement;
- pre-financial close due diligence;
- construction and operations monitoring.
- Knowledge of infrastructure finance technical advisor services in at least one of the following:project structuring and procurement;
- pre-financial close due diligence;
- construction and operations monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of at least two of the following:Facilities management;
- Lifecycle management and lifecycle costing;
- Construction supervision;
- Construction contracts;
- Service contracts / Service level agreements;
- Payment mechanisms;
- Project finance construction and operations securitization.
- Good understanding of risk and risk management principles;
- Experience of working with and advising commercial banks, IFI’s, DFI’s, equity partners in infrastructure finance risk management related matters is desirable.
