The consultancy supports the integration of climate adaptation and green economy principles into education and skills development systems in Angola, promoting climate-resilient jobs and sustainable livelihoods.
Climate Adaptation and Green Skills Specialist
Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Policy, Green Economy, or Sustainable Development.
Minimum 10 years overall professional experience, of which at least 5 years integrating climate change adaptation and green economy principles into education, skills development, or labor market strategies.
Demonstrated knowledge of green skills frameworks, sustainable livelihoods, and environment-related value chains.
Proven experience supporting TVET and higher education institutions in integrating green skills into training programs.
Strong understanding of climate-resilient infrastructure and climate-smart job creation approaches, particularly in African contexts.
Familiarity with climate financing, green entrepreneurship, and policy environments supporting the green transition is an asset.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate climate priorities into actionable education and training interventions.
Fluency in English is required; working knowledge of Portuguese will be considered an asset.
