The consultancy aims to strengthen private sector engagement in the design and implementation of demand-driven education, TVET, and skills development programs in Angola. The assignment focuses on aligning training systems with labor market needs, fostering effective public-private partnerships, and improving employability and entrepreneurship outcomes in priority economic sectors, in line with the National Human Capital Development Plan 2023–2037.
Private Sector Engagement Specialist
Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
Minimum 15 years overall professional experience, of which at least 10 years working with the private sector in Sub-Saharan Africa in areas such as workforce development, skills training, public-private partnerships, or enterprise development.
Proven experience engaging private companies in the design and implementation of education or training programs.
Experience working in or with TVET systems, particularly in the integration of employability and entrepreneurship skills.
Strong understanding of sector dynamics in agriculture, transport/logistics, and/or renewable energy is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the Angolan or Lusophone African context is considered an added advantage.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Fluency in English is required; working knowledge of Portuguese will be considered an added advantage.
