We support clients with technical planning, implementation management, and capacity building to strengthen institutions and ensure sustainable operation and maintenance of complex assets.

Objective:

The project focuses on delivering a comprehensive feasibility assessment and strategic deployment roadmap for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across state-owned petroleum assets in Egypt. It ensures that the national rollout aligns with international technical, safety, and financial standards while building the necessary institutional capacity within the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to support the country's low-carbon transition.

Position: Energy / Power Systems Expert

We are seeking a senior expert to lead the technical energy assessment and grid integration strategy for the national EV charging network. The role focuses on ensuring that charging sites are technically viable, energy-efficient, and safely connected to the Egyptian electrical grid.

Key Responsibilities

·       Grid Capacity & Interconnection: Conduct grid capacity scans and preliminary interconnection studies to identify necessary transformer upgrades and MV/LV works for shortlisted sites.

·       Energy Management: Design load management systems and explore resilience options, including solar PV canopies and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

·       Technical Standardization: Produce standard single-line diagrams (SLDs) and utility submission packs, defining requirements for protection, earthing, and surge control.

·       Regulatory Alignment: Analyze electricity tariffs, metering regulations, and licensing to define the end-to-end process for grid-connecting charging stations.

Candidate Requirements

• Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Management, or related field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in power system planning, grid connection studies, and energy management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in EV charging or distributed energy integration projects.
• Familiarity with Egyptian grid structure, regulations, and distribution companies is an advantage.
• Experience in grid capacity assessment, interconnection, and cost estimation.

Location: Remote with international missions to Egypt.
