Description

We are seeking a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Expert to support sustainability and climate advisory assignments, including product carbon footprinting, environmental impact assessment, and ESG strategy engagements. The expert will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, data-driven insights aligned with international standards.



Key Responsibilities

1. LCA Modelling & Analysis
• Conduct cradle-to-gate / cradle-to-grave LCAs for products, services, and systems
• Develop and interpret Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) and Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) models
• Perform hotspot analysis and scenario modelling

2. Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)
• Quantify Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions at product level
• Develop carbon footprint reports aligned with:
• ISO 14067
• GHG Protocol (Product Standard)
• Support decarbonisation pathways and reduction strategies

3. Tools & Software
• Build and run models using:
• SimaPro / GaBi / OpenLCA (mandatory experience in at least one)
• Utilize databases such as:
• Ecoinvent
• GaBi databases
• Industry-specific datasets

4. Standards & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with:
• ISO 14040 / 14044
• Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
• EU Taxonomy / CBAM (preferred)
• Support third-party verification and audit processes

5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Interface with clients to collect activity data and validate assumptions
• Translate technical outputs into client-ready insights and reports
• Support proposal development and technical sections

6. Reporting & Deliverables
• Prepare:
• LCA reports
• Carbon footprint disclosures
• ESG / sustainability reports
• Present findings to CXOs / senior stakeholders



Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in:
• Environmental Engineering / Sustainability / Climate Science / Industrial Ecology / Energy / related field
• Certification or coursework in LCA (preferred)



Experience Requirements
• 4–12+ years of experience in:
• Life Cycle Assessment
• Product carbon footprinting
• Sustainability consulting
• Demonstrated experience across sectors such as:
• Manufacturing
• Energy
• Infrastructure
• FMCG / consumer goods



Technical Skills (Must-Have)
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• SimaPro / GaBi / OpenLCA
• Knowledge of:
• LCI databases (Ecoinvent, etc.)
• Emission factors and environmental datasets
• Proficiency in:
• Excel (advanced)
• Data analysis and modelling
