Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

General Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance experience
  • Experience in NGO financial management preferred

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and grant management.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of donor regulations and compliance requirements.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

  • High attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Integrity and accountability

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in Arabic is required.
  • Proficiency in English is highly desirable.

Abilities:

  • Financial Management: Ability to plan, monitor, and manage budgets effectively, ensuring accurate tracking of expenditures and financial performance.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and provide practical solutions.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ability to ensure adherence to donor regulations and produce timely, accurate financial reports.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in financial systems and Excel for data management and reporting.
  • Cash & Resource Management: Ability to manage cash flow, forecasts, and safeguard financial resources.
  • Coordination: Works effectively with program and procurement teams to ensure financial alignment.
  • Attention to Detail & Integrity: Maintains high accuracy, accountability, and ethical financial practices.

Main Job Purpose:

Action For Humanity (AFH) delivers high-impact humanitarian and development programmes in sectors including education, livelihoods, protection, and health. In Jordan, AFH supports vulnerable Syrian and Palestinian refugees as well as Jordanian host communities through sustainable and locally led initiatives.

The Finance Officer will support the Programme Manager oversee and manage the financial activities of LIFE+ Programme across all locations, and other projects applied in the Jordan office ensuring timely and effective financial management, compliance, and reporting.
