The Global Fund funds local progams to combat HIV, Malaria and Tuberculosis. The Local Fund Agent team checks implementation of the grant(s) on finances, plans and progress, procurement and supply.
Local Fund Agent - The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
For a tender of the Global Fund for Local Fund Agent (LFA) services in Benin, Cabo Verde en Cote d’Ivoire, SGS is looking for experts from the West and Central African region who are fluent in French and English:
- Team Leaders, Finance Professionals (junior and senior, must be based in Cote d’Ivoire, Cabo Verde or Benin), Monitoring & Evaluation Experts, and Procurement and Supply Management Experts (health products). Experience with the Global Fund is preferred.
The positions are part-time, the work is done remotely and in-country. If awarded, the work will start in July 2026, and can be extended each year.
The Programmatic/Monitoring & Evaluation Expert must have a Master's degree in Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, or relevant discipline. Plus:
A minimum of 7 years relevant experience in the health sector, notably in monitoring and evaluating health programs in developing countries, and with the following expertise:
(i) ability to interpret performance results of health programs and analyse the implications of such results in the country context;
(ii) strong understanding of public health monitoring and evaluation systems;
(iii) a thorough knowledge of epidemiology and programmatic interventions related to at least one of the three diseases (HIV, TB, or malaria);
(iv) understanding of the dimensions of health service quality and familiarity with reviewing and interpreting national service delivery guidelines;
(v) strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and tact to effectively communicate with senior level officials, multiple stakeholders and professionals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds; and
(vi) strong professional oral communication and writing skills, including the development of reports, oral presentations, and technical/persuasive documents.
