Description

“Project Implementation Consultants for Upgradation works of 11kV Feeders, Installation of Asset Performance Monitoring System (APMS) on 100 & 200 kVA Distribution Transformers, and Installation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).”

Client: Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO)

Contract Supervision, QA/QC, Claims Expert

  • Graduate electrical engineer (BSc/BE Electrical Engineering from a recognised university).
  • At least 10 years of experience in the power sector. At least 5 years of experience in designing/implementation/ supervision (as part of Utility or Contractor, or Consultant team) 11kV/33kV Overhead Distribution projects, and also experience with (Transformer TMS Monitoring System) / Performance APMS (Asset Management System) specification
  • Should be well aware of MS Project software for the preparation of the contract schedule and progress.
  • High sense of teamwork, organization, and responsibility.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in the English language
  • Ensure the accuracy, timing, proper methodology, and quality control of the work.
  •  Provide assistance to SEPCO in approving/clearing claims/and variation orders, and invoices, along with rate analysis if the items of the variation order are not included in the contract submitted by the contractor and recommend payments to be made thereafter.
  • Measurement and verification of the contractor's invoices upon delivery, installation, and commissioning.
  • Assist SEPCO in determining the amount to be added to or deducted from payments to the contractors for any additional work or work omitted, respectively.
  • Facilitate decisions on all claims and accounts, all questions, disputes, and differences which may arise between the Client and Contractor and which under the terms of the contracts are left for the Arbitrator‘s settlement and decisions,
  • Assist PMU on a full-time basis in quality assurance and quality control of the contractor‘s supply and installation.
  • Assist the Client with the eventual work defects, help SEPCO in the final testing and commissioning of the project.
  • Certify the achievement of the contractual milestones and satisfactory quality of progress, in line with the progress milestones laid down in the contracts.
  • Assist SEPCO in initiating action on slow implementation progress or deliverable delays, or violation of the contractor‘s obligations, if any, as per contract conditions.
  • Examine and make recommendations on all claims from the contractors for time extension, extra compensation, extra work or expenses, or other similar matters.
  • Recommend and verify SEPCO for payment of the invoices received from the Contractor, which are based on completion of contractual milestones.
