Description

ASSOCIATION 3535 — founded in 2016 by World Food Prize Top Agrifood Pioneer and Ashoka Fellow Richard Seshie — is a West Africa-based social impact organization building open-source digital infrastructure and community programs to improve nutrition, food security, and health outcomes for underserved populations.

We are recruiting a motivated Partnerships Associate Intern to join our team in Côte d'Ivoire and help drive the growth of two early-stage initiatives focused on school feeding and nutrition accountability.

The intern will work directly with leadership to build stakeholder relationships, coordinate outreach campaigns, donor campaigns and support the rollout of our digital tools and programs to schools and partner organizations.

The Two Initiatives

Nourish for Education — Feeding Minds, Fueling Futures

A school feeding initiative designed to improve learning outcomes and attendance by securing sustainable, nutritious meal programs for children in under-resourced schools across Côte d'Ivoire and the West Africa region.

FeedClass — Free & Open Source Digital Operations for School Feeding Programs

A free, open-source platform that digitizes school meal accountability — tracking beneficiary counts, meal delivery, and nutrition data in real time. FeedClass is by any school or NGO with minimal technical overhead.

  • Map and prospect local stakeholders — school directors, district education officers, municipal governments, community organizations, and local NGOs — for Nourish for Education and FeedClass rollout

  • Identify and reach out to international organizations (UN agencies, bilateral donors, foundations, international NGOs) to explore funding, pilot partnerships, and program integration opportunities

  • Draft outreach materials including emails, one-pagers, concept notes, and pitch materials tailored to specific audiences

  • Support the coordination of meetings, site visits, and stakeholder events; prepare briefing notes and follow-up documentation

  • Manage and grow the organization's online presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, X) with regular updates on program activities

  • Assist with grant prospecting and proposal development in support of program fundraising

  • Support onboarding of schools and partner organizations onto the FeedClass platform, including basic training and feedback collection

  • Track and maintain a pipeline of active prospects and partners (CRM or contact database)

  • Prepare periodic activity reports and contribute to donor and partner communications

  • Perform any other tasks aligned with the organization's growth and program objectives

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in a relevant field

  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French language skills are a significant advantage

  • Is genuinely motivated by food security, school nutrition, digital public goods, and development in West Africa

  • Is proactive and self-starting — comfortable reaching out cold to organizations and building relationships from scratch

  • Is comfortable working independently in a resource-constrained, fast-moving environment

  • Has experience or coursework in partnerships, fundraising, communications, or program management (a plus)

  • Is familiar with Google Workspace, social media platforms, and basic project management tools

Candidates from the UK, US, Netherlands, and Scandinavia are particularly encouraged to apply. Applications are welcome from qualified candidates worldwide.

Internship (minimum 3 months, up to 12 months)

Monthly stipend: 150,000 XOF (~300 USD)

Accommodation provided free of charge.

The intern is responsible for their own travel and visa arrangements.

Interested candidates should send their CV and a short cover letter (maximum one page) to team@association3535.com.

Subject line: "PARTNERSHIPS INTERN — [YOUR COUNTRY]". Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
