For over 25 years, our team have been supporting and guiding our clients to achieve low-carbon climate-resilient development. We assess contexts and baselines, design strategies and frameworks, develop policies, programmes and projects and unlock finance for public and private sector clients across the world.

 

Position Location:

This position is remote based, aligned with E Co`s core working hours - within GMT ±4 hours

 

Position Summary:

As a Bid Development team member, in collaboration with our different functions and teams, you will contribute to the identification of bid opportunities and development of technical proposals including prescreening potential opportunities, maintaining communication and coordination of inputs during preparation and upon proposal submission, maintaining expert and project reference databases, formatting and proofreading, compilation of administrative documentation as applicable, supporting the preparation of assigned sections in bid development including but not limited to company and team’s presentations, references list, experts' CVs, background contents and methodologies’ sections’as well as closing out bids effectively

The role will start with a focus on administrative tasks with the opportunity to grow into supporting methodology and overall bid coordination, depending on individual`s performance and interest.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Opportunity management:

  • Scanning opportunities and managing the opportunity pre-screening process

Proposal preparation:

  • Analysis of tender documentation

  • Conduct the necessary research, including background searches and literature reviews on a broad range of subjects related to sustainable energy and climate change

  • Analyse project staffing and company experience requirements and team mapping

  • Search, identify, and recruit external consultants and partners in line with the agreed strategy in close coordination with HR.

  • Maintain records on opportunities and, upon award, ensure the preparation of project references in line with the proposal collation of administrative documentation

  • Contribute to the development of the bid & partnership strategy when needed.

Bid coordination and management

  • Support the bid development process for specific bids, by contributing to the preparation of contents and information for the bid (e.g. company presentation, team presentation, administrative information, methodologies)

  • Support and coordinate inputs from co-workers and external contractors

  • Participate and contribute bid development progress meetings with the bid team

Wider initiatives

  • Contribute to E Co’s strategic initiatives as defined through internal strategy meetings

  • Support knowledge capture and management

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree and a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skill, with fluency in French and/ or Spanish

  • General knowledge of and strong interest in preparing bids for public-sector procurement opportunities

  • Being familiar with Bid Development and public tender processes for the public sector, with experience providing support with the development of tender documents and information

  • Being familiar working on procurement processes or projects/ programmes funded by EU or International Financial Institutions and Multilateral Organisations

  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office

  • Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet challenging deadlines while delivering work to a high standard

  • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards

  • Interest in energy access, environmental and/or climate mitigation/adaptation/ resilience/development sectors

The gross annual salary for this role ranges from £22,500 to £36,000. Your final offer will be determined by your relevant experience, competencies, and internal equity, ensuring coherence within our grading structure. While we account for market conditions when benchmarking our roles, your final placement will be managed firmly within this established grade range.
