Objective:

The project focuses on delivering a comprehensive feasibility assessment and strategic development roadmap for a suburban railway (city train) system within the Tbilisi agglomeration. It ensures that the integration of existing rail infrastructure with the urban transport network aligns with international technical, environmental, and financial standards. This builds a bankable investment package for Asian Development Bank (ADB) financing to support Georgia's transition toward sustainable urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion.

Position: Signaling & Electrification Engineer

We are seeking an expert to lead the railway signaling and electrification systems design for the suburban railway system within the Tbilisi agglomeration. The role focuses on ensuring that the electrification requirements are defined , signaling and communication systems are technically viable , and all systems are safely and fully integrated with the existing Georgian Railway infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

·       Systems Integration: Define signaling and communication systems and ensure their complete integration with the existing Georgian Railway infrastructure.

·       Electrification Requirements: Assess and define the specific electrification requirements for the proposed suburban railway system.

·       Rolling Stock Compatibility: Define key technical parameters for the rolling stock regarding electrification and signaling compatibility.

·       Infrastructure Assessment: Identify required structures, systems, and technical components based on the selected alignment alternatives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Railway Systems Engineering or related field. 
  • Min. 10 years of professional experience in railway signaling systems and/or electrification design.bdi

Location: Remote with international missions to Georgia.
