We are seeking qualified experts to present a proposal for supporting the implementation of outreach, publicity, and communications services for the EU Due Diligence Navigator for Partner Countries.

The EU Navigator is an online helpdesk which supports governments, businesses, and civil society organisations in partner countries of EU development cooperation in understanding and navigating the requirements and opportunities of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.

The selected contractor will support the TEI team in developing and implementing a targeted outreach strategy to raise awareness of the Navigator among key stakeholders in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, producing tailored communication materials, organising online and offline events, and establishing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track impact.

EXPERT PROFILE

The contract requires an estimated 5 working months within a 24 month period.

Academic Background

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Communications, Business Administration, Development Studies, Economics or related field.

Languages

  • Proficiency (C1) in English.
  • Proficiency (C1) in French, Spanish or Portuguese.

Professional experience

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in project management and stakeholder engagement/outreach in an international experience.
  • 5 years of experience working with stakeholders in Africa, Asia or Latin America on topics of sustainability or human rights and environmental due diligence.
  • 4 years of experience working in the conceptualisation and implementation of outreach and cross-media communications work.
  • 2 years of experience working with public institutions, international organizations or business associations.
  • 4 years of management experience in projects, companies or organisations.
  • 6 years of as team leader/manager of international teams.
  • 6 years of experience working in Africa, Asia or Latin America.
  • 3 years of experience in working with EU institutions, governmental organisations, Civil Society Organisations, Unions or Private Sector in the EU.
  • 6 years of experience in the field of development cooperation.

Needed references

  • 5 references of projects that demonstrate experience in applying inclusive and participatory methods within a professional context.
