6. Community Engagement / Outreach Specialist
Role: Ensures effective dissemination of information and engagement with local populations and stakeholders in the project areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Organize and support public presentation events in the six counties
- Adapt communication messages to local contexts and audiences
- Liaise with local stakeholders, communities, and authorities
- Support awareness campaigns and community-level communication activities
- Facilitate feedback from beneficiaries and local actors
Qualifications and experience :
- University degree in communication, social sciences, community development, public engagement, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, or awareness-raising activities.
- Experience organizing public consultations, outreach campaigns, or local engagement activities.
- Strong understanding of local/community dynamics in Kenya.
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Fluency in English and Swahili is required; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
