Key Expert II – Project Engineer

LDK Consultants is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for one of the key expert positions for an upcoming assignment under a major framework contract that the company is implementing.  The assignment involves the preparation of a comprehensive feasibility study for an Agrivoltaic PVPP and BESS in Romania.  The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

·       At least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar

General Professional Experience

·       A minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience in the electricity sector within the EU

Specific Professional Experience

• ·       At least 7 years of experience in designing utility scale PVPP or preparing similar feasibility studies to be proven by at least three projects since 2020
• ·       At least 5 years of experience in designing utility scale electricity storage plants, including BESS, or preparing similar feasibility studies, to be proven by at least three projects since 2020.
• ·       At least 5 years of experience in using software for utility scale PVPP and BESS design and simulation proven by at least three projects since 2020.
• ·       Knowledge of EU and Romanian regulations, codes and international standards relevant to the design, installation and performance of PV and BESS proven by at least three projects.
• ·       Experience in agrivoltaics PV feasibility studies and agrivoltaics specific design will be an asset.
• ·       Experience in preparing grid interconnection studies and/or supporting the grid connection permitting process for utility-scale PV and/or BESS projects will be an asset.

Languages

• ·       Fluency in English is required
• ·       Fluency in Romanian is an asset
