Founded in 1947, The Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada (CDF Canada) is a global social impact partner that allies with local communities, build their capacity to achieve sustainable economic and social development through cooperative models.
Governed by the cooperative principle, we work together with our partners, we combine research with data to build and enhance knowledge and provide information services. In addition, we help strengthen capacity and initiate dialogue with governments to influence coop laws and regulations. see here for an idea on how we work.
For over 75 years, through our wide variety of knowledge and financial know-how, we have helped build community-owned cooperatives that support people to have more prosperous, self-reliant lives across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
CDF is always in search of new innovative ideas to make the world better, whether in the field of climate change, food security, economic development, etc. in the global south. We are especially interested in ideas and experiences in Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, Malawi, Senegal, Tanzania, Ouganda, Rwanda, Indonesia, and south america as a whole.
CDF is looking for experienced and innovative individuals who will spearhead the development of new projects, maybe even some they directly come up with or have been trying to get off the ground for a while. In other words: you have innovative ideas, we can, with the strenght of our network and experience, put them in front of potential funders. Blended finance ideas welcomed.
The Proposal Grant Developer (PGD) is part of a dynamic business development and fundraising team and is responsible for writing winning proposals and grants that will grow and diversify CDF Canada’s portfolio.
